Jeranimo ran away from the field in the final furlong of the $250,000 Citation H. (G2) Nov. 26 at Hollywood Park during the southern California track's annual Autumn Turf Festival. Jeranimo, a Eddie Woods sales grad, was consigned and sold by Woods at the Barretts May, 2008 horses of racing age sale for $70,000.

Jeranimo sat sixth for the first three-quarters of the Citation, then went five wide in the stretch  to distance himself in the final stages, getting the 1 1/16 miles in 1:40.87.

"He relaxed real well and found himself in a nice little spot," said winning rider Garrett Gomez. "They weren’t going very fast and he was real comfortable and traveling well.

"He settled in beautiful and it was just a matter of finding somewhere to go. When I showed him some where to go he put it all together."

The win was the seventh in 24 starts for the 5-year-old son of Congaree and the Jeblar mare Jera. He’s earned $810,400 for owner B.J. Wright and trainer Mike Pender.  His other graded stakes victories have come in the Strub S. (G2) and San Gabriel H. (G2), and most recently in the Oak Tree Mile (G2) in October at Santa Anita.
