Undefeated Lady Eli, winner of the July 4 Belmont Oaks Inv. (G1) and the Appalachian S. (G3), tops a list of nine graded stakes winners in 2015 sold by Eddie Woods, leading all consignors this year.

Lady Eli, who also won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) last autumn, has racked up a perfect six-for-six record and earned $1.4 million. Woods sold the 3-year-old at last year’s Keeneland April 2-year-olds sale for $160,000 to Jay Hanley.

Joining Lady Eli in the Grade 1 category is Jack Milton; the 5-year-old son of War Front is a Woods training grad who went through the auction ring at the 2012 OBS Select 2-year-olds sale. Jack Milton took the Maker’s 46 Mile S. at Keeneland in the spring and has earned $847,161.

Woods sales grads Coach Inge and High Dollar Woman have both won Grade 2 events in 2015. Coach Inge took the Brooklyn Inv. on June 6. The 4-year-old son of Big Brown was sold by Woods to owner Mike Repole for $150,000 at the 2013 OBS Select 2-year-olds sale. High Dollar Woman recently captured the top spot in the Indiana Oaks. The Super Saver filly sold for a hefty $675,000 at the 2014 OBS Select 2-year-olds sale, where she was bought by her owners Alex and JoAnn Lieblong.

Five Woods grads have scored Grade 3 wins this year: Firing Line, Hebbronville, Misconnect, Night Prowler, and Stephanie’s Kitten.

Firing Line, runaway winner of the Sunland Derby, also came back to be second in the Kentucky Derby (G1). Firing Line was a $240,000 purchase at the 2014 Keeneland April 2-year-olds sale. Hebbronville attained Grade 3 status just this past weekend in the Jersey Shore S. at Monmouth Park. He sold for $250,000 to owner Choctaw Racing Stable at the 2014 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds sale. Misconnect won the General George H. in February at Laurel in his first graded stakes attempt. The son of Unbridled’s Song also sold to Mike Repole, for $180,000, at the 2013 Keeneland April 2-year-olds sale.

Night Prowler is a dual Grade 3 winner this year, taking the Dania Beach S. at Gulfstream Park shortly after New Year’s, and then the Transylvania S. at Keeneland in April. The 3-year-old by Giant’s Causeway brought a top bid of $190,000 at the 2014 OBS Select 2-year-olds sale. Lastly, Stephanie’s Kitten, winner of the 2014 Flower Bowl Inv. (G1), took the Hillsborough S. earlier this year and was an unlucky third in the recent Diana S. (G1) at Saratoga. An earner of over $2.7 million, Stephanie’s Kitten surely has potential buyers having remorse after she RNA’ed at the 2011 OBS Spring 2-year-olds sale.
