Eddie Woods' latest sales grad to win a graded stakes came Nov. 29 at Churchill Downs when the 3-year-old filly Nay Lady Nay threaded her way between horses to win the $300,000 Mrs. Revere S. (G2) over a yielding turf course.

Left with plenty to do after six furlongs went in a slow 1:16.42, Nay Lady Nay was in seventh behind a wall of horses. Junior Alvarado found a slight opening between horses in mid-stretch, and Nay Lady Nay rallied through and outran Dalika (GER) to the wire.

“Anytime you ride a horse for (trainer) Chad Brown you know it’ll be ready to roll,” said Alvarado. “She broke very good and had a nice kick at the end. She got over the going very well and had a nice kick at the end to get us home.”

Nay Lady Nay, who won the Park Fall Oaks earlier this year, is 3-1-0 in five starts and has earned $265,180. The daughter of No Nay Never was consigned and sold by Woods for $210,000 at the 2018 OBS March 2-year-old sale. Nay Lady Nay was bred by Stephen Sullivan and is a full sister to the top European 2-year-old colt Arizona (IRE).
