Peter Brant’s superlative mare Regal Glory continued a perfect 2021 on June 11 at Belmont Park when the Eddie Woods training grad rolled through the turf course stretch to win the $500,000 Just A Game S. (G1) by 3 ½-lengths.

Six-year-old Regal Glory took the one-mile race with her patented stretch run. She was 10 lengths from the lead at the half-mile mark and still had six lengths to make up with a quarter-mile to go. In upper stretch, Regal Glory blew by In Italian (GB) and drew off late to get the distance is a very quick 1:32 flat, less than a second off the track record.

"I campaigned Just a Game and she was a great mare who put a large string of victories together and was a great champion," said Brant. "To have this race named after her is a great pleasure and now to win the race is very, very special."

Regal Glory, trained by Chad Brown, has won seven graded stakes and a quartet of listed races in her illustrious career. He winnings now stand at $2,111.009.
