The ultra-consistent United got his fourth win in five starts this year in Saturday's $200,000 John Henry Turf Championship (G2) at Santa Anita Park.

All four wins for the Eddie Woods training grad have come in Grade 2 stakes, and the 5-year-old son of Giant's Causeway is just a neck away from being perfect this year.

As the odds-on favorite, United wasted no time in setting the tone as he seized the lead shortly after the break. Allowed to set soft fractions under Flavien Prat, United was up at least a length the entire trip. He spurted away from the field at the quarter pole and was going along easily as he crossed the wire a 1 1/2-length winner in 1:59.17 for the 1 1/4-miles on the firm turf.

His Beyer Speed Figure of 103 matches his previous high earned in last year's Breeders' Cup Turf (G1), when he was beaten just a head by eventual Horse of the Year Bricks and Mortar.

United was bred by Rosemont Farm and originally sold for $240,000 athe 2015 Keeneland November sale, then was a $300,000 yearling at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select sale. After Saturday's victory, his record stands at 7-4-1 in 16 starts, with earnings of $1,413,549 fpr his owner LNJ Foxwoods.
