Eddie Woods was far and away the leading consignor at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training May 18th and 19th.

Led by the highest-priced horse ever sold at this sale--a $1,250,000 filly--Woods sold 18 of 20 juveniles he sent to the ring for gross sales of $3,871,000 and a sparkling average of $215,056. Even without the record-setter, Woods would have been the top consignor, as his gross sales were $2,024,000 ahead of the second-place consignor.

Woods sold the top two fillies--a $1,250,000 Smart Strike and $800,000 Quality Road--and the fourth highest-priced colt--a $450,000 son of Unbridled's Song. He also sold a $350,000 colt by first-year stallion Dublin, an exceptional return on investment, as the colt was purchased as a yearling for just $70,000.

Woods will next present a draft of two-year-olds at the Barretts Sale on May 27, and then a group at the OBS Open Sale, June 16-19.
